Please note that anyone planning to dig within our tariff boundaries, whether it be with hand tools or power operated equipment, should comply with USA North's provisions. Legislation in California makes it mandatory for those that are excavating to call USA North One-Call System two working days before digging. Prior to your call, make sure you outline your excavating site in white UV paint or chalk. Once the site is marked, call either 811 or 1-800-227-2600, or visit www.usanorth.org for more information. In response to your alert with USA North, Bakman Water Company will mark our water lines with blue paint so those doing any digging near our lines will know where they are so as not to cause damage to them throughout the project. Please be cautious around the marks and dig with care.
